Aimed at audiophiles and music enthusiasts, the high-fidelity FiiO K5 Pro ESS is a compact desktop USB DAC and headphone amplifier designed to that faithfully reproduces your music when listening to audio from your computer, smartphone/tablet, or other digital music player. The K5 Pro ESS improves on the K5 Pro by employing the high-resolution ES9038Q2M ESS DAC to deliver richer audio details and a superior performance at up to 768 kHz sampling rate and native DSD512. Compared to the last generation of this product, the distortion is reduced by 50%, the crosstalk for the line outputs have increased by 6 dB and with greater channel separation, and the dynamic range has increased by 3 dB.
Equipped with RCA analog line inputs, optical and coaxial digital inputs, a USB Type-B port, RCA analog line outputs, and a headphone jack, the K5 Pro ESS acts as a bridge between your computer, phone, speakers, and headphones, allowing them to work together seamlessly. Switchable low-, medium-, and high-gain levels are available, enabling you to use the amplifier with almost any headphones at comfortable volume levels.
- The XMOS XUF208 USB decoding chip equipped with the clock matching management system allows decoding up to a sample rate of 768 kHz / 32-bit and native DSD512.
- The next-gen ES9038Q2M DAC allows outstanding sound performance with accuracy and precision in playback.
- The carefully tuned feed-forward amplifier circuit design increases the power output of the TPA6120 opamp by more than 60% for a total power output of up to 1.5W under a 32-ohm load, and up to 20 V p-p at 300 ohms.
- The K5 Pro ESS easily handles any low- or high-impedance headphones (16 to 300 ohms).
