The LTO-9 Dual 8G Fiber Channel External Desktop Tape Drive from MagStor is a dual external desktop IBM-based tape drive system with dual 8 Gb/s Fiber Channel interfaces. Save time and money without the complexities of a library to backup/archive like a pro and write two duplicate sets simultaneously or two separate media sets. LTO tape has a 30-year shelf life. Users can easily drag-and-drop files to and from an LTO tape with the peace of mind that LTFS is open source and you can access your files in the future with a variety of software. Traditional backups to tape are still commonplace with TAR software. MagStor LTO drives are compatible with most TAR backup systems that work with IBM-based tape drives.
