Alpine Astronomical Baader UFC Base/Filter Chamber

An integral part of their Universal Filter Changer System, the Alpine Astronomical Baader UFC Base/Filter Chamber is the component that holds one of the three available filter sliders and allows you to quickly and easily change filters without having to disassemble your imaging rig. With this system you can, for example, switch between multiple colored filters for imaging a series of selective wavelengths with very little effort or time between changes. Use this for stacking in post-production to create custom images of the moon, planets, nebulae, galaxies, and more.

The front of the base has eight threaded holes that accept the included set screws for attaching one of several optional camera lens adapters. The rear of the base accepts optional telescope adapters and extensions. When fully assembled, the front plate screws into the camera lens filter threads, the base accepts your various filters, and the rear attaches to a variety of optical tube assemblies.
