This paper can also be used in large format photography or even when cut into small sheets for LOMO-type cameras.
As a creative tool, Direct Positive Paper can be used in the creation of interesting photograms of everyday items. Just cut it up into whatever size you need and you're ready to make an exposure. Finally, you can also use this paper as a traditional printing paper using a negative.

HARMAN technology Harman Direct Reviews
A great product for analog photography enthusiasts.
I use this paper in a 5x7 view camera for portraits and creative photography. It is easy to develop in standard black & white chemistry and is very fun for teaching young people about photography. Hopefully Ilford will continue to make it, and I hope to eventually use it in an ultra large format camera (11x14 or larger).
Great way to learn about photography
I use this paper in a pinhole camera. Easy to get chemicals and process. Since it is positive paper you do not need to process a negative and then do a print, it comes out the first time. I have never had problems with the paper, processing or the results. It's a great way to get down to the basics of photography and see how it was done a long time ago. Once you get used to the low ISO rating the rest is a pice of cake.
Fantastic old look
This DP paper can lend itself to some amazingly beautiful images. It's good quick to use and good fun too since you can have the images quickly. Similar to polaroid, each print is unique and this makes everyone special. Notes: I use ISO 2 for exposure. The image is reversed I have read people pre-flash to reduce contrast, but I did not find it necessary.
Harman Direct Positive Fiber Based (FB)
Used in a pin-hole camera with really good results, paper fit right into the holder. Its a tad on the slow side, but if your using a pin-hole camera your not in a hurry anyway.
Hesitantly Satisfied
I used this paper in several pinhole cameras. The exposure times were consistent with using negative paper. The fiber paper has a sheen similar to pearl paper. The only issue I ran into, which was somewhat significant, were lines during development that usually arise when paper is unevenly submerged (or not submerged at all). I tested this several different times and the markings were on almost every print event when they were completely evenly submerged in the developer.
Very forgiving exposure times.
Use this in my large format sliding box camera. Very forgiving exposure times. I've read a few reviews suggesting the ISO is a 6 or even 9, I can confirm that product does indeed have an ISO of 3. Very easy to use.
Excellent
I love this paper. It feels like a compromise between wet plate and the negative. Like wet plate collodion, you have a single final image. There is no print to be made from a negative. Which means that other than drying, everything from beginning to end can be done within a half hour. Also like wet plate, you have a super low ISO, which means you need a lot of light for portraiture. On the other hand, everything else is like film: loading the sheet holders, development with standard chemicals. That makes it a lot more affordable and significantly less toxic. I develop in caffenol, which means that really the most toxic part is the fixer. Harman DP brought me back to shooting large format.
