Adapt your tripod and camera or camcorder to be compatible with the VCT-14, industry standard, ENG camera quick release mounting systems with this PROTECH Tripod Adapter Plate and Tripod Base Plate Kit from IDX.
The kit includes an ST-1 adapter plate that mounts on your camera and the VST-14 receiver plate that you mount on your tripod. Together the system provides a secure yet fast quick release system for cameras ranging from small to full-size ENG.
IDX System Technology PROTECH Tripod Adapter Plate
Make your camera or camcorder compatible with a VCT-14 mounting system with this PROTECH Tripod Adapter Plate. The slotted plate allows you to balance your camera on the plate, and it includes a guide pin setup, as well as hardware that allows you to attach a camera or camcorder with/without a guide pin, a single 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole, two 1/4"-20 mounting holes, or one 1/4"-20 and one 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes.
IDX System Technology PROTECH VST-14 Quick Release Tripod Base Plate
Quickly mount and release your camera with a Sony-compatible VCT-U14 mounting system to a tripod with the PROTECH VST-14 Quick Release Tripod Base Plate from IDX. Featuring a die-cast aluminum body, this VCT-Style Plate supports all VCT-14 compatible cameras and baseplates and features a secure, spring-loaded release latch. There are 11 tripod mount threads in total, allowing you to find the optimal balance for your camera.

Operation
Releasing: Firmly hold your camera with one hand, while with the other, hold the release lever and press the red safety-release button. With the button depressed, pull the handle out away from the plate to release your camera.
