Supercharge the graphical power of your Thunderbolt 3-compatible computer using the Akitio Node Titan Thunderbolt 3 External GPU Enclosure from OWC. This external GPU (eGPU) enclosure features one PCIe x16 slot that supports a separately purchased full-height, full-length, and double width desktop graphics card. It connects to your computer via Thunderbolt 3 for a data transfer rate of up to 40 Gb/s and allows you to use the graphics card on mini computers and laptops with integrated graphics for games and demanding applications such as video editing, design, 3D modeling, and more. It can also be used to power virtual reality headsets and multiple external displays, which connect directly to the graphics card's ports. This enclosure features a 650W power supply with dual 8-pin internal power connectors to handle high-performance GPUs.
Its plug-and-play design and toolless access help make installing a GPU into the Akitio Node Titan a relatively straightforward process that doesn't require any additional hardware. Best of all, you can upgrade the installed graphics card at any time without having to purchase a whole laptop or mini desktop computer system. The compact and durable aluminum and electrogalvanized steel enclosure includes a built-in retractable handle for easy and safe carrying when traveling. The Akitio Node Titan is compatible with both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs and works with Windows 10 64-bit and macOS 10.13 or later operating systems.
External Graphics
The Akitio Node Titan eGPU enclosure features one PCIe x16 expansion slot and a 650W internal power supply to support a separate full-height, full-length, and double-wide high-end graphics card. The external GPU can be used to play 3D games, use virtual reality headsets, and enhance graphically demanding applications.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
Easy Upgrading
The enclosure's toolless access allows you to install a desktop graphics card with relative ease and allows you to upgrade the GPU without having to purchase an all-new laptop or computer system. Or you can add a second Akitio Node Titan with an installed GPU for further accelerated performance.
High-End Graphics On-the-Go
The durable aluminum and electrogalvanized steel case includes a retractable handle that allows you to quickly transport the enclosure when traveling.
