The wide shoulder areas also help speed up the drying process by holding clothing and gear open, allowing the powerful fan to push air effectively into all parts of the material. Faster drying reduces or prevents bad odors, as well. An additional benefit of the hanger's broad frame is the prevention of creases, which can cause damage to the foam in wetsuits and other apparel.
