Lineco 387-0155 Overview
Lineco Blue/Gray Frame Sealing Tape (1.25" x 500') seals off raw wood rabbets and fillets to protect the art and seals filler boards to the frame. The buffered paper is laminated to a thin aluminum barrier layer and coated with an aggressive, acrylic adhesive.
The aluminum provides a barrier that stops acid migration and meets the FACTS standard for maximum preservation framing. The aggressive acrylic adhesive holds strong to raw wood.

Great price on a great tape!
I've been using this tape for about 3 years now, to seal rabbets and dust covers on all my framed art. Can't really think of any disadvantages, except that it is pretty pricey if you can't find it in the large rolls like special orders.
