The stand's contact points are covered in velvet to protect your trombone's finish from dents and scratches. When it's time to wrap up, the telescopic tube withdraws into the shaft, and the stand folds down into a compact bundle, tucks into the included velvet bag, and fits snugly within the bell of your trombone. Safely stored inside your instrument's bell, the stand doesn't take up any space in your instrument case.
