Darkglass Electronics DLX3 Overview
Achieve the natural dynamic response and organic compression of classic tube amps with the Vintage Deluxe 3.0 Bass Preamplifier Pedal from Darkglass Electronics. Taking the warm, tubelike design of the Microtubes Vintage and adding active 4-band EQ, switchable low- and high-mid frequencies, and expanded I/O, the Vintage Deluxe fits four decades of classic tones into one compact package.
Newly added I/O includes a parallel 1/4" output for parallel processing and a balanced XLR direct output with a dedicated ground-lift switch for eliminating grounding loops. Use the Blend knob to mix the clean and driven signals for an optimal tone, and the Drive knob for controlling the level of saturation. Along with 4-band EQ, you also get a Grunt switch, which provides three levels of bass boost before saturation, and an Attack switch, which lets you optionally boost or cut treble content for saturation.
- 12 dB adjustment at 100 Hz
- Low-mids control of 12 dB at 500 Hz or 1 kHz
- High-mids adjustment of 12 dB at 1.5 or 3 kHz
- Treble control of 12 dB at 5 kHz
