SYMPLY Symplyspark XT External HDD Overview
Streamline your demanding workflow with the SymplySPARK XT Desktop 144TB 8-Bay Portable RAID Array from SYMPLY. Designed with content creators in mind, this 8-bay RAID enclosure includes eight enterprise-class, multi-actuator 18TB hard drives, which can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD modes to optimize performance and security for your needs, including 4K and 8K media workflows. When configured as a RAID 5, the SymplySPARK XT delivers read speeds of up to 2952 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1977 Mb/s. The portable RAID tower has two 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 connectors, one of which provides 60W of power for device charging, and the other which can be used to daisy-chain additional devices. Also featured are wheels on the bottom of the impact-resistant case that weighs about 13 pounds without the drives. In addition to the drives being hot-swappable, the fans and power supply are also hot swappable, making it simple to replace integral components of this RAID array when needed. The SymplySPARK XT is compatible with Windows 10 and macOS 10.13 or later.
Please note that this SymplySPARK XT comes in a NANUK hard case that is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. It can also withstand temperatures ranging from -20 to 140°F and is buoyant up to 110 pounds.
