Nady PEM-04 Overview
The Nady PEM-04 is a wireless in-ear monitoring system that can accommodate four vocalists or musicians in clubs, concerts, and houses of worship. Comprised of a four-channel rackmount transmitter with AC adapter, four bodypack receivers, and four pairs of in-ear headphones, the system is easy to use and offers a maximum range of 300'.
The PEM-04 offers 16 selectable UHF frequencies to choose from, allowing you to find four clean, interference-free transmission channels. Operating in the 903 to 928 MHz frequency range allows the system to avoid interference from TV channels and Wi-Fi devices for clearer transmission. Two removable antennas are supplied.
Infrared sync enables the transmitter and receivers to lock to the same frequencies quickly and easily. The transmitter's four 1/4" inputs accept unbalanced line-level signals for each of the individual channels, while an additional 1/4" input and a balanced XLR input are transmitted to all the channels. Front-panel 1/4" TRS jacks for stereo headphones allow you to monitor the signals from the transmitter.
Each of the four bodypack receivers features a 3.5mm dual-mono mini headphone jack and a 3.5mm line output for recording purposes. The system is engineered to deliver crisp, quality sound with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and an impressive 120 dB of dynamic range. Four pairs of EB-6 earbuds with behind-the-ear cabling are provided for monitoring, but you can substitute these with your own favorite earbuds if you prefer. The receivers run for up to 11 hours on two AA batteries and feature channel displays along with LEDs to indicate battery status and radio signal strength.
