Built to deliver high-grade tonal quality at a low-budget price for vocal artists, self-produced bands, and independent engineers, the Fluid Audio Axis is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone boasting thoughtful construction and an impressive bundle of accessories for the studio and traveling between gigs. The centerpiece of the Axis is its gold-sputtered 1.3" large diaphragm, which yields a clear and detailed sonic signature with a gentle rise in upper frequencies to help your sources stand out.
The strong sensitivity and high maximum SPL handling of the capsule combine with the low-noise performance of the discrete Class-A electronics to ensure audio capture that meets the standards of discerning professionals. With the included shockmount, pop filter, premium XLR cable, zipper pouch, and hard-shell case, the Axis is more than ready for your next gig, be it in a home studio or on the road.
One Mic for Multiple Tasks
With a large-surface, gold-sputtered 1.3" diaphragm, the Axis is designed to be equally brilliant on vocals, guitars, percussion, or any audio source where recording high clarity and detail is essential.
Knowing that many artists make recordings in their own studio spaces, Fluid Audio chose to have the Axis utilize a cardioid polar pattern, which offers great rejection behind the mic to reduce background noise and room reflections.
Discrete Class-A FET electronics feature a transformer-coupled output, providing low-noise operation that's ideal for digital recording.
Sporting an elegant and durable brass housing, the Axis is ruggedly constructed to ensure years of worry-free studio use.
Unlike many budget-friendly mics, the Axis comes with a professional shockmount to inhibit vibration noise, a pop filter that helps control vocal plosives, a high-grade Scale Technologies XLR (hand-soldered, 4-core twining cable), a zipper pouch, and a foam-lined, reinforced, hard-shell carrying case.
