The Column Stand with Sliding Arm from Impact offers an effective solution for swiftly and effortlessly moving and adjusting one or more light fixtures around the set without interrupting workflow. The black chrome LSP-SCS features an easy-to-operate sliding arm that provides sturdy support for fixtures weighing up to 17.6 lb. The sliding arm incorporates a spring-loaded brake, and it can be positioned anywhere along the column up to the maximum height of 7.25', or almost at floor level, which is great for all varieties of standing or sitting portraits. The 2-section column comes apart quickly for transport or when shooting in low or confined spaces. The versatile stand system is well suited to use in studios and offices with drop ceilings. Additional ME-126 sliding arms are available separately, allowing the stand to be customized with additional lights, monitors, and more.

Works great! Love the wire clip. It's a plus. Holds my Alien Bees just fine with a large soft box. Rolls and locks. It does what it says.
This is so convenient and helpful to use in our studio.
Took only about 5 minutes to put this stand together and I'm already excited about how it will make moving lights around the studio easier. Not only does it have sturdy wheels and a nice wide-base to make it feel balanced and secure, but the vertically moving arm feels very strong. I might throw a sand bag on it just to make everyone happy and look more professional, but I don't feel worried at all using it as is. Especially because most of my lights are either small or LED and light weight. The build quality is very impressive. I also want to add the little things that are super helpful and convenient, I love that it comes with a carrying bag in case I want to break it down and bring it on location and I love that it has a little holder for the allen wrench so that it is always accessible and won�t be lost in case of any adjustments or to take it apart. And the price ($200) is great for the quality and convenience of the product. I'm super happy with this stand and recommend to others who would like a mobile and adjustable light stand. Beautiful, strong, elegant!
By looking at it in the pictures and description, I already knew what I was going to expect... something strong and pretty, but when I opened the box, I was really impressed how massive this thing is!!! Holy cow! (And you DO want heavy). This stand is primarily designed for studio, but to transport it, not a problem. It�s just heavy and it needs to be, plus it comes with a bag, everything has its own compartment and everything is isolated including the top pole. For the purpose of what this stand is for, I�m using a large LUXLI TAIKO 2X1 LED Panel as a load example, which is considerably big and heavy. (See pictures). And I won�t load my Taiko on something that�s not stable. This stand, I can load it, walk away and not worry about anything from it�s heavy duty construction and the safety of my clients around it. It�s beautiful. You can load anything massive you might have on that pole and the stand won�t even feel the load when you roll it around! NOTHING wobbles or tilts. And that�s not all. The gun shaped piece that slides on the pole, when you squeeze that handle, EVEN with a heavy load, you can lower it without fear. IT WON�T go anywhere, and it slides down effortlessly. To go up, it�s just as smooth but of course you�ll wand to grab the pole with one hand while lifting the load. Now, to INSTALL the gun shaped piece, if it doesn�t slide easily on the pole, is because you have to press the break in first. (It�s a blue little square inside its tube. Even though this stand has the ability to withstand a load not needed to be centered towards one of its legs, I�d still recommend that you position the light or whatever towards one of the legs just like you�d do to a C-Stand. Everything from the steel pole, to the holder and the stand base feels incredibly high-end and solid for a incredible low price. The wheels are also heavy duty, and what will roll on your delicate floors is a VERY rubbery and soft material. You can roll this stand loaded all day without causing a single mark or damage to your flooring. The material these wheels are made of, it�s also free from marking your floors. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT also when you�re bringing this stand to a high end real estate property and not worry about their flooring. These wheels also feature a lock break as well, and it�s threads are MASSIVE, and it comes with a protective material as well when you unbox it. I�d recommend that you put it back when you�re transporting the stands so the treads won�t damage the carrying case this stand comes with. I also would recommend that you keep the shipping plastics and foam it comes with to also protect the edges from the stand from damaging the case as it is pretty heavy, thus helping not to damage your floor when you slide the stand out of the case. The wheels, only once, give it a nice rub with rubbing alcohol to remove any small oil residue from factory assembly, including the metal part of the caster. The stand itself is absolutely free from any residues. Important: if your stand pole seem out of alignment, at the bottom base, locate the alignment tool. (See my pictures). Simply adjust it and the pole will be perfectly straight. Great feature especially if the surface you�re landing this stand is not level. I LOVE this stand. I Didn't Get How Awesome This Stand Is Until Used It I didn't fully appreciate how awesome, convenient and easy it is to use this column stand until I set it up and started using it. My first thought was I'm not even going to put the wheels on it because I have carpet but when I saw the wheels are roller blade style wheels I decided to give them a shot and sure enough they roll perfect even on carpet. Also the sliding arm makes it quick and easy to make adjustments to the position of whatever is mounted on it. I really only have one complaint and one regret. I work in a home studio and the legs spread out really wide so it's not the most convenient for me in my small space and that's my one complaint. I also have one regret and that is that I only have one because it is that awesome I wish I had two. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]
