Shipping cost savings are a result of this case weighing approximately 1/3 to 1/5 less than ATA-style cases. For protection pressure tested up to 2,000 lb per square inch, the case is constructed from 1.0" thick corrugated plastic. Case closure is accomplished by slipping the top of the case over the bottom and engaging straps. This method effectively doubles the side protection from 1.0" to 2.0". Inside the case is custom cut foam for improved protection.
