The TX-FLEX is crafted from a modified 6" Shure Microflex gooseneck mic and custom-fitted with a TA5F connector, allowing for seamless integration with a range of Servo-Bias Lectrosonics transmitters, including models like SMa, SMV, SMQV, SMWB, and many others.
With its omnidirectional pickup pattern, the TX-FLEX offers exceptional reach and clarity, capturing sound from all directions while maintaining linear off-axis performance. This makes it particularly effective for recording dialog in vehicle shots, as it can pick up voices from multiple speakers with just one microphone, even when the speakers turn their head away from the mic.
The TX-FLEX's compact and flexible design allows for easy concealment, whether it's hidden in a vehicle visor or gaffed to a dashboard, making it a versatile tool for various audio recording situations. The mic is powered by the bias voltage from the Lectrosonics transmitter, similar to a Lavalier microphone, ensuring consistent performance without the need for external power sources.
