Protective
It may seem like a small thing, but this is a necessary ad-on. The AD200 is easy to drop or slide off of a table. This design kepps it from rolling as well as bumper protection for the rear of the unit. This makes a difference because the rear of the unit are where the controls and light sensor trigger are located.

Great fit for my AD200Pro
Love this addition to my AD200Pro. It fits like a glove, provides a level of protection to the strobe, and allows me to orient the strobe vertically. Is it necessary......no but at this price point, it affords me a bit of flexibility on how I can deploy the AD200Pro and to me it was well worth it!
well made, good design.
I have not had a chance to take this out into the field, but the initial response is that it's well made and seems like a very smart design. Seems much better than the silicone skin style.
