Designed for SMB users who need a high performance storage solution, the U4-423 4-Bay Rackmount NAS from TerraMaster has a 1 RU form factor with a depth of only 14.17". It fits into most two-column cabinets without rails and operates with low noise levels, thanks to its optimized internal structure.
The U4-423 provides exceptional data throughput that can meet the most stringent customer demands. It features four 3.5/2.5" SATA drive bays that can accommodate HDDs and SSDs, plus one M.2 2280 NVMe slot for SSD caching. Installed drives can be configured for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, JBOD, Single, and TRAID modes depending on your performance and security preferences, delivering read and write speeds of up to 283 MB/s in RAID 0 to quickly back up your important files and stream media to connected devices. The U4-423 Max seamlessly integrates into your network through its dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, which can be combined using link aggregation to support 5GbE connections with compatible devices. Connecting external peripherals to the two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports and one HDMI 2.0 port allow you to share files and media with connected network devices and use displays. With integrated 4K video transcoding at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 fps, you can enjoy rich, detailed media on phones, computers, and multimedia centers. Your data is secured with hardware-based AES-NI encryption.

This is a high-performance storage solution for iSCSI virtual storage and database service for SMB users. It uses a 2.0 Intel Celeron N5095 quad-core processor with a maximum turbo speed of 2.9 GHz. It is integrated with a GPU graphics card, AES NI hardware encryption, and equipped with two 2.5 GbE interfaces and 4GB of DDR4 dual channel memory that is expandable up to 32GB.

Link Aggregation provides a network bandwidth up to 5 Gb/s, thus providing a cost effective solution for multi-user and high-concurrent file access.

The U4-423 is configured with two 2.5GbE interfaces and Link Aggregation provides a network bandwidth up to 5 Gb/s. The built-in M.2 NVMe slot realizes SSD cache acceleration and significantly increases the storage efficiency of the disk array. To meet performance enhancement expansion requirements, the memory can be expanded up to 32GB.
Flexible Configuration and Management of Disk Arrays
The U4-423 supports rich RAID types, which can be selected based on your data access and data protection level requirements. Hot Spare can be configured for the disk array and any of the following array types can be chosen according to the number of hard disks: Single, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. To reduce the risk of material loss and ensure important materials are kept, the U4-423 supports online capacity expansion and online migration of RAID array.
Across-Platform File Management and Sharing
Supporting most of file services (SMB, AFP, SFTP/FTP, iSCSI, NFS, and WebDAV), the U4-423 can fully satisfy file management requirements in different network environments. TerraMaster's web file management tool, File Manager, is easily operated with visualized interfaces, while its classification and search functions can make it simple to organize and share data.
