The USB-C Docking Station with Phone/Tablet Stand from Plugable adds functionality to your Windows, iPad Air, iPad Pro, or Android device equipped with a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt mode. The dock portion is powered using a USB-C port with 100W of passthrough charging and connects to your host device using a second 5 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. Also available is a 4K30 HDMI port that transmits audio, two 5 Gb/s USB-A ports, a 3.5mm headphone/mic jack, an SD card reader, and a microSD card reader. Built using solid aluminum, the stand portion is sturdy enough to support a 12.9" iPad Pro, but can still be easily adjusted and even folds up so it can be placed in your bag.
Please note that this dock is not recommended for use with the Nintendo Switch and, while this dock may be used with laptops, using the stand with laptops is not recommended. Also, Google Pixel phones are not currently supported. Lastly, Samsung DeX only supports resolutions of 1600 x 900, 1920 x 1080, and 2560 x 1440.
The HDMI port, which supports 4K at 30 Hz, lets you extend your tablet or DeX phone to the big screen.

Thanks to its solid aluminum construction, the stand is sturdy enough to stay in place when you're tapping on your tablet's screen, yet responsive enough for easy adjustments. And if you do decide to take it with you, it folds flat enough to fit in your bag.
This dock requires plug-and-play installation on a tablet or phone which supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (Alt Mode) video output functionality. Popular examples include:
- 12.9" iPad Pro (3rd Gen and later), 11" iPad Pro 11 (1st Gen and later), 2022 iPad Air (5th Gen and later)
- Samsung Galaxy S Phones: S8 series, S9 series, S10 series, S20 series, S21 series, S22 series, and S23 series
- Samsung Galaxy Tabs S5e, S6, S7, S8, S8+, and S8 Ultra
- Motorola Edge+, Edge 20 Pro
- Microsoft Surface Pro tablets (with USB-C/Thunderbolt 4)
- Windows 10 and later
- iPad M1 and later with iPadOS 16 and later
- iPadOS 16.1 and later for Stage Manager
- USB-C phones/tablets with DisplayPort Alt Mode
- Not recommended for use with the Nintendo Switch
- The UDS-7IN1 dock can be used with laptops, but using the stand with a laptop is not recommended
- Google Pixel phones not supported at this time
The UDS-7IN1 is capable of providing audio over HDMI on TVs, projectors, and monitors with built in speakers.
