DupliM 130106 Overview
The 1:11 SSD/HDD Duplicator and Sanitizer from DupliM is an industrial-strength, standalone drive duplicator that can create up to eleven simultaneous, sector-by-sector copies from a single source. It can also simultaneously wipe up to twelve drives with Secure Erase or three sanitization algorithms, including a 1-pass wipe, a 3-pass wipe with verify, or a DoD 5220.22-M 7-pass wipe, which meets the criteria of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) 800-88.
This unit has been built with twelve 3.5" SATA drive bays, with one drive serving as a source drive and the remaining three as target drives. Data transfer speeds max out at 300 MB/s, and 2.5" drives are supported using separately sold adapters.
Secure Erase is a National Institute of Standards and Technology 800-88 accepted technique for properly purging hard drives. This method is supported by almost all modern SATA hard disk drives. It also works up to 60% faster than a one-pass overwrite and up to 90% faster than a 7-pass overwrite.
