The AX-70TN Indoor / Outdoor Wired Short-Range Photoelectric Detector from Optex is compact in design with an IP65-compliant, highly durable structure. Rubber packing is used for all conceivable points where water, dust, or bugs may penetrate, such as wiring holes, wire ports, and the outer chassis. Preventing these factors helps deliver performance with higher reliability in severe outdoor environmental conditions. In addition, the length between the upper and lower optics and the width of the optics are ideally engineered to produce an intelligent detection pattern, which reduces false alarms by detecting only human intruders.

Very pleased with this detector
I purchased the AX-70TN detector to replace an old AX-70T unit installed more than 25 years ago as part of a home security system but had stopped functioning due to age and exposure to our high desert environment. I was very pleased with the free expedited shipping offer - the units actually arrived two days before the promise date. The receiver and transmitter were well-packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Instructions were clear and I had no trouble installing and calibrating the new sensors, which seem to be working perfectly. I noticed several improvements from the previous model, but they were still fully interchangeable. My driveway monitor system is now functional again, and I am very pleased with both the delivery service of and the performance of the detector.
