Archival Methods 48-8210 Overview
The 11 x 14" Archival Mat and Presentation Kit for 8 x 10" Print from Archival Methods is used for presentation, exhibition, or just to preserve your prints, photographs, or documents. The kit consists of a 4-ply, bright white museum board, which is made of 100% cotton with a 1/8" thick acid-free foam backing board. The archival museum board has a centered, 7.5 x 9.5" bevel-cut window that can be hung in a vertical or horizontal orientation. In addition, the kit includes mounting corners to mount your photograph to the foam board and Tyvek tape to hinge both boards together. Once everything has been assembled, you can carefully place your mounted photograph inside the crystal-clear bag with an adhesive closure.

Good quality mat board but not white and visible defects
This is high quality archival mat board and a nice set up for packaging a print for sale or gifting. It described as bright white, which it is definitely not. It is very warm, almost off white, so not ideal for color photography. I also noticed two small dents on the front side of the mat board, along the edge. They were visible enough to me that I would not be able to sell a print in it. It wouldn't be visible if the mat board was put in a frame however.
Presentation Mat Kit
The presentation kit contains all necessary items needed to mount photographs for display. It would be a benefit to new users to include the instructions for mounting the photos in the kit. Some of the cut edges were a little ragged and needed to be dressed up.
Everything you need
The photos look great with these matts and it comes with everything you need. The foam backboard is thicker than I thought but it keeps the photo safe which is good if you plan on selling your photos in this matt. I don't think I would use this matt for framing because of how thick it is. Overall good matts.
I buy this product over & over
I am a member of several camera clubs. Each month we have friendly competitions. The requirements include having the image matted. These archival mats look very professional. They are easy to use and, if I want to (which I don't often) I can reuse them. Using this product is so much easier than cutting form core board, using the dry mount and then cutting the mat, particularly for submissions like for the camera clubs.
