Combining space-saving design and a simple floor base with sophisticated gear for seeking out celestial treasures, the Flextube 350P SynScan GoTo Collapsible Dobsonian Telescope from Sky-Watcher offers memorable experiences in the study of the night sky. Its large 14" aperture, 1650mm focal length, and f/4.6 focal ratio deliver dazzling views of planets, the moon, nebulae, galaxies, and more. SynScan control (Wi-Fi or wired) makes it easy to search out specific objects or tour the cosmos. Mount the Sky-Watcher 14" GoTo Collapsible Dobsonian Optical Tube Assembly on a compatible base to observe night sky treasures such as planets and the moon, nebulae, star clusters, galaxies, and much more. Its large parabolic borosilicate primary mirror is treated with a combination of quartz, titanium, and silicon dioxide to bring its reflectivity to over 94%, with a secondary mirror obstruction of just 6% by area. The OTA's truss design allows it to retract to just 38.5" long for easier transport and storage, and then extend to 60" for observation.
The large 14" aperture draws in copious amounts of light to resolve awe-inspiring deep-sky objects like wispy nebulae and galaxies, while also revealing incredible details of the lunar surface and planetary features. The 2" focuser will accept larger eyepieces so users can enjoy a truly immersive visual experience and will ensure larger imaging sensors are completely covered. For convenience, Sky-Watcher includes a reducer adapter that will allow you to use more common 1.25" eyepieces.

When used with the SynScan app or included SynScan hand controller, the base assembly gives you full GoTo capabilities with multiple tracking rates for near and deep-sky objects, slew speeds from 1x to 1000x, and assisted alignment procedures. The SynScan system has a database of over 42,900 objects with a guided tour option that will show you the best objects to see based on your location, the date, and time you're observing. The base assembly is outfitted with dual-axis DC servo motors and is equipped with Sky-Watcher's proprietary Tension Control Handle to increase or decrease the friction between the optical tube and the sideboards. The patented Freedom Find dual-encoder design allows the telescope to be moved manually whenever the user wishes, with no need for realignment.
