Xerox X-PASSPORT Overview
Scan two-page passports in under 2 seconds with the Passport Scanner Accessory from Xerox . Designed for DocuMate 6400 Series Scanners, this device sits underneath the desktop scanner and shares its power supply so no extra power supply is needed. Able to handle documents up to 7.5 x 5", the unit can also be used for capturing ID cards, photos, and specialized documents.
With the Passport Scanner Accessory, your client's passport and documents are scanned while they watch, and for security purposes the unit uses a direct USB PC connection, an important requirement in institutions where cloud capture is a regulatory risk. The scanner accessory includes Visioneer's OneTouch with Acuity software, and passport scanning is done with the push of one button on the control panel. Image enhancement features ensure high-quality images, and OneTouch software allows users to set up multi-step workflows to get the scan to its correct destination. Also included is ABBY Fine Reader Sprint. This intuitive OCR tool reduces the need for paper storage and converts your scans into various file formats, including searchable PDFs. Additionally, it accurately reads documents in 179 languages and precisely preserves the original document's layout and formatting.
