Explorer Photo & Video AX-02 Overview
The Explorer AX-02 Aura Explorer Mini Tilt Head is a shoe mount unit designed to be used with hot or cold shoes allowing accessories such as LED light panels, microphones, and more to be mounted on a camera, video setup, quick release plate, or small tabletop tripod. The head has a maximum load capacity of 4.4 lb and includes a 1/4'-20 bottom thread in addition to the shoe mount. The AX-02 allows the mounted accessory to tilt up and down with friction adjustments made with the included Allen key. The Explorer Mini Tilt Head is very lightweight at only 1.3 oz and features aluminum alloy construction with an anodized finish for durability.
To attach it to a camera, slide the foot into the shoe and tighten the silver lock. Use the top silver lock to mount the accessory and check that the tilt dampening suits the accessory's weight. Use the included Allen key to adjust damping according to the load weight.
