JVC QAN0067-003 Overview
The QAN0067-003 from JVC is a replacement microphone for the GY-LS300 camera and will work on most JVC ProHD, and 4KCAM camcorders. The mic is used to capture audio and is powered by 48V phantom power. A hardwired cable and XLR output connector is provided, and a foam windscreen is included.

I bought my first video camera and was looking for a microphone to catch natural sound and this did the trick. So happy I bought this for my camera.

Quality Great
The two reasons I am giving this item 4 stars. First it didn't fit on my camera as promised and because I had a job the next day didn't have time to return. So I wrapped the base with a 1/4 rubber anti slip grip from my broken microphone and used gaffing tape to hold the rubber in place. The quality of audio it captures works fine. I noticed it captures more in the 2000-4500 range than my than my older Sony Microphone. This makes my clients audio sound like they have a higher voice and talking in a tin can. I used Adobe Audition to correct this and created a preset for future projects. It sticks out a little further than I want (See photo below) but on my camera I don't see the mic in my shoots. Overall its a great price, good quality.
