Description
Cobalt BlueBox Overview
The Cobalt BlueBox 3G/HD/SD-SDI Fiber Optic to HDMI Converter with FC Connector converts and extends SDI video to HDMI over fiber. Bring an SDI signal via the FC fiber connector and convert it to the HDMI 1.4a or DVI-D output. This portable converter supports SMPTE 424M, 259M, and 292M standards and video resolutions up to 1080p60.
Single-mode fiber input and output lets you extend video up to six miles at the highest supported bandwidth of 3 Gb/s and up to 22 miles at 270 Mb/s. Video may also be output locally via the SDI loop output or converted to the HDMI output. Embedded audio may be output to speakers or other analog devices via a stereo analog output.
Direct Conversion
Direct conversion to HDMI from SMPTE 259M, 292M, and 424M SDI.
DVI-D Support
Flexible crosspoint and multiple inputs/outputs provide fiber-to-HDMI, SDI-to-fiber, and fiber regen conversions, and HDMI output can be set as DVI-D for direct connection to computer monitors.
Extend SDI Signals
A single-mode fiber link distance of up to six miles at 3 Gb/s, up to 12 miles at 1.5 Gb/s, and up to 22 miles at 270 Mb/s.
Power Options
Powers directly from the host equipment USB or standard power adapter, and both can be simultaneously used to provide redundant power.
Configuration
Configurable using device DIP switches or USB GUI remote control offering dynamic configuration control, status display, and other advanced control functions not commonly found on "throwdown" packages.
Compact Design
Compact size and low-weight design easily affixes directly to the camera or host device chassis.
