Built for high quality audio distribution during live sound reinforcement, broadcast coverage, sports events, live recordings, and corporate or press conferences, the Kickbox 4X4 from Drawmer is a portable, active audio splitter with a rugged, built-in road case and a removable lid. With four clean, warm, low-noise, microphone preamps and four outputs per channel, the standard configuration is 4x4, but the convenient button-activated linking system lets you reconfigure on-the-fly for pressbox usage, with 1x16, two 1x8, 1x12 plus 1x4, and four 1x4 configurations all available to suit your specific needs.

The Kickbox 4X4 sports considerable headroom with 66 dB of variable gain, and with active splitting circuitry, you don't have to worry about ultralong cable runs. Each channel features selectable +48V phantom power, mic/line level switching, variable gain control, a dedicated LED VU meter, and a listen function that routes that particular channel to the 1/4" headphone section for monitoring. This audio splitter utilizes an internal power supply with automatic switching between 90 and 250 VAC to keep you powered regardless of location, and includes an AC power cable.

Built directly into a rugged, portable road case, the Kickbox 4X4 is ready to tackle any live audio event right out of the box, literally. The lid can be easily removed to allow unhindered access to all controls and connections. When the lid is closed, the internal components are fully protected from water, dust, and corrosion, thanks to expert design from Explorer Cases.

Kickbox 4X4 is not shockproof and sudden impacts or constant vibrations, as well as excessive heat from equipment like transformers, should be avoided at all times.

In certain situations, four outputs may not be adequate, for example at a news conference where each reporter requires a feed, and for this reason Drawmer has incorporated a very versatile, yet but intuitive linking system that effectively converts the 4X4 into a pressbox. Linking is performed via three switches, so there�s no need to open the unit up to swap jumpers, or worse still, re-solder connections.

If a link switch is active, the input feeding the four outputs of that particular channel is disabled and re-routed to the input of the previous channel. If the link switch of that channel is also active, then it is re-routed further to the previous channel. In this way any combination of linking can be made available.
