SJCAM SJ4000 Air Overview
The silver SJ4000 Air is one of SJCAM's budget action cameras that still delivers QHD+ (close to 4K) video and 16MP photos. Doing away with image stabilization, a touchscreen, and native waterproof capability, the SJ4000 Air focuses on image quality and affordability. Although not waterproof out of the box, it comes with a 98' waterproof housing also used to attach the camera to one of the several included mounts, such as the helmet mount. One of the recording resolutions is 720p at up to a high frame rate of 120 fps for achieving professional-like slow motion in editing.
The SJ4000 Air features a built-in mic and speaker, a microSD card slot for recording, and built-in Wi-Fi for connecting to the companion iOS/Android SJCAM app. The mobile app allows you to control select functions of the camera remotely, as well as set up time-lapse sessions and use other creative tools.
A removable battery runs approximately 70 minutes when recording Full HD 1080p video. The battery is rechargeable by connecting the camera to a USB power source using an included cable. The USB port is also used for offloading your photos and videos to your computer for storage, editing, and sharing.

Poor Quality Overpriced Camera
SJCAM usually has good cameras for the price, this camera is not one of them. No specs available before purchase, would not have purchased if I had them. According to SJCAM, there are no specs available and there will be no firmware updates for this camera. 4K video is poor, as is the 1080p 60fps. 4K video is interpolated, which means it is upscaled 2K or 1080p, camera software is weak and does a poor job at this. Camera options are extremely limited, no record on power up or other common options available. Mini USB port, years behind the curve. This is a $35 camera with poor quality hardware, poor video footage, no firmware updates and no support. I have a number of SJCAM cameras, this one will be my last.
