Celestron 82051 Overview
The Celestron Hummingbird Compact Tripod is the ideal support system for many outdoor activities, from bird watching to stargazingwhether you use a camera, binocular, astronomical binocular, spotting scope, or smaller refractor or Maksutov telescope.
This aluminum tripod comes with a two-way pan/tilt head outfitted with a precise panning handle, a lock to hold the head in place, and a tension adjustment that together make all movements smooth when you're finding and tracking your terrestrial subject or astronomical object and locking it down so you can make detailed observations. The included quick release plate makes setup and breakdown fast and efficient and comes with a standard 1/4"-20 mount that makes it compatible with most optics and camera gear. It is built with four leg sections and extends from a minimum working height of 24" to a maximum of 69" with an extendable 23" center column. Weighing under 4 pounds, the tripod can hold up to 11 pounds of equipment steady, so you can capture crisp details with a camera and lens or when digiscoping through your spotter or binocular. The legs can be independently set to two different angles for shooting on an uneven surface, and a secondary 1/4"-20 mounting stud on the bottom of the column allows you to set your camera in a unique position for getting a different perspective if you're doing landscape photography.
