This F22 Quick Release Bundle from Falcam provides you with a quick release set to integrate with your camera mounting system. Both base and plate are compatible with other Falcam F38 accessories and made from aluminum alloy and steel. A 1/4"-20 screw inserts to the bottom of your camera, and a universal thread can attach the system to a mount of your choice.
This F38 Quick Release Top Plate from Falcam integrates a standard quick release plate to your camera for use with other F38 quick release bottom plates for efficient transitioning between mounting devices. The plate has one fixed screw to secure your camera and make transitioning from handheld to tripod shooting a breeze. Its aluminum alloy construction creates a durable and lightweight design.
The F38 Quick Release Bottom Plate from Falcam integrates a standard quick release mounting plate to your gear configuration for efficient transitioning between mounting devices. The mounting base has one thread that is compatible with both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screws for attaching to a tripod or gimbal. Use with the separately available quick release plate allows for a seamless transition from handheld to mounted shots with a press of the single-button release. Not the best QR, but is the best QR ecosystem.
I've pretty much had every popular QR system out there. This is actually one of my least favorite systems built around the Arca-Swiss standard. It feels pretty rough, like there's a lot of friction going in and out. Not sure if that's a tolerance issue with the machining process, or if its part of their finish. Either way, not super satisfying. I also don't like that you can only attach it in one specific direction (from the receiving plate's perspective). That means you have to be pretty thoughtful about how you put these on your gear. I also think the button could be much better. And the twist lock system is meh... not the best, not the worst. There's also a tiny bit of play even when its locked. A far superior QR IMO is the Pgytech Snaplock. That mechanism is the easiest and most satisfying QR I've ever used. So if you just need a basic QR or two, get that one. Now that I've ripped the F38 apart, I'll tell you why I stuck with this system. It's simply because Ulanzi/Falcam has made a solution for every situation. They have a dedicated versions for popular gimbals, so you don't have to worry about it moving on you, or needing to retighten it every gig. They have an option for straps. You can thread the plate from both the bottom and the top, so you can mount it to almost anything. They have plates with two points of contact for larger cinema rigs. They have a plate that is compatible with the Peak Design Capture Clip (which I own 3 of). They have their own Capture Clip competitor too. It is by far the most extensive ecosystem for a QR on the market. And they keep adding to it. I wish Pgytech would do the same for their system, but it's been over a year since they first released it without any additional products.
Great product?
Product is perfect solution to never having to rebalance your gimbal with you favorite lens/body setup! Works just as good as the manfroto plates at half the price and a way smaller footprint (button is smaller than the switch on manfroto) I noticed quality the second I opened the package! Great product will buy more in the future!
