Bellari RP563 Overview
Restore the clarity and warmth of your audio signals with the RP563 Stereo Tube Sonic Exciter from Bellari, a rackmounted processor that uses all-tube drive circuitry to enhance smoothness and brilliance while adding natural tube compression. With a dedicated subwoofer out, the RP563 is ideal for studio mixing and home theater systems.
Controls include dedicated Subwoofer Level and Frequency controls, a separate Bottom frequency cut or boost control, and a Definition control. Classic-style dual analog VU meters let you keep on eye on your signals at all times. I/O includes balanced stereo XLR and unbalanced 1/4" inputs and outputs for connecting to a wide range of professional and consumer audio devices. The RP563 includes a 15V power adapter.
A sonic exciter restores clarity and presence to the processed signal by correcting phase changes and harmonic structure differences. In other words, it puts the components of the sound back where they belong. Using a class-A vacuum tube circuit in this configuration not only restores the clarity lost in previous processes, it adds warmth and a slightly compressed attribute to the audio signal.
- Sub Frequency: sets the highest frequency allowed out of the Subwoofer output. This frequency is adjustable between 35 and 200 Hz.
- Sub Level: adjusts the output level of the Subwoofer output. The level is adjustable between infinity (off) and a gain of +20 dB.
- Active Switch: engages and disengages the RP563. When out, the unit is bypassed.
- Bottom: controls the low-frequency cut or boost. There is a 0 to 1/2 turn spectrum spread from midrange to bass with this control as well as amplitude control.
- Definition: controls the amount of sonic clarity and sound spread. Setting it on 0 is flat response and minimal spread and 10 is maximum spread and definition.
