FUJIFILM XC 35mm f/2 Overview
An especially sleek and lightweight prime, the FUJIFILM XC 35mm f/2 is a 53mm-equivalent lens offering a natural, normal-length field of view with an especially portable design. The lens incorporates a pair of aspherical elements to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion in order to achieve high sharpness and accurate rendering. A stepping motor autofocus system promotes quick, quiet, and accurate focusing performance and the rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes a pleasing bokeh. This simple feature-set fits perfectly with the lens's petite design that makes it an ideal every day, walkaround lens.

FUJIFILM XC 35mm f/2 Reviews
Quite good
I like the size and build quality is pretty good but while it has very good sharpness in the centre and stopped down find the corners a bit blurry at wide apertures.
Great!
Fantastic inexpensive lens. Very sharp. f2 produces great bokeh.
Sharp, good lens, just a little sub-par in look and feel.
You get what you pay for. The optics are identical between this lens and the XF version, but the casing is consumer level and unappealing. If you don't mind the look on your handsome Fujifilm camera, then buy it.
Surprisingly great quality...Worth every bit of the money!
I got this not expecting that much due to the low cost of the lens, but I have been pleasantly surprised with the performance of this little 35mm! The build quality is not as premium as its more expensive full frame brothers, but at this price and performance I would take this deal over the other lenses. If you are looking to get the Fujifilm quality in a lens for a bargain, this 53mm comparative lens is a no brainer to add to your camera bag!
Best Affordable Fuji Lens
I am new to photography, a pro novice indeed. I was caught between two stools of either going for the Fuji 18-55 variable lens, but after much careful thought, being short of budget and brainwashed about jumping on the prime lens bandwagon, I finally opted for this lens. Paired with my Fuji XT2, the images are sharp, focuses quickly, given out value for money is everything, and a stepping stone to accrue more high quality Fuji lens as you grow your photography business. It is paying dividend now as I groom myself in photography day by day. The images are so sharp. I highly highly recommend this Fuji lens to beginners and pros. This is a credible review from De-Graft Asafo-Adjei, Ghana.
Value with minor compromises.
This lens is on par with its more expensive, XF big brother in terms of IQ. You have to ask yourself if you need weather sealing and an aperture ring for double the price. If not, this is a no brained. I purchased this for a beginner who Im training. A perfect lens to start experimenting on manual exposure with. It took me a minute to figure out how to manually change aperture when there is no ring. On the XT cameras you use the rear command dial.
Excellent quality.
Great lens. Hardware feels sturdy and is easy to use. Incredibly crisp image.
Questionable build quality
The first lens I ordered was defective. Everything worked fine mechanically, but it produced strangely soft images. The center would be sharp but almost everything else has a fall off look. Took some group photos at F4.5 and only the person in the middle was sharp--all other people, even the ones on the same row/plane, were a smeared mess. One of the internal lenses was probably misaligned at the factory or during transport. The replacement I got was much better. Produces sharp and clean images. Great bargain lens if WR isn't important. The lack of aperture ring is fine because using the front grip dial is faster anyway.
