Heico Perma Wash Overview
Heico Perma Wash is a highly concentrated neutral liquid that not only saves a tremendous amount of time and wash water, but even more importantly provides archival permanence in both films and papers.
Perma Wash is available in 1 qt., 1 gal., and 5 gallon concentrates. A one quart bottle will make 11 gallons of working solution.
Perma Wash saves more than 90% of normal wash water requirements which is estimated that the operating cost is one cent per 8 x 10" sheet of film or paper processed.
Perma Wash is non-corrosive and is formaldehyde free.

Essential step in Archival BW print and film processing
I use Perma Wash as a washaid for both fiber based prints and film. Without this step, wash times are exceedingly long. Liquid is easy to dilute and lasts for a very long time in its original stock form. I have had problems with other wash aids-from Eco Wash to Orbit Bath and I've been using Perma Wash with no issues since the mid 90s.
