K-Tek KPCK10V Overview
Built to withstand the rigors of on-set environments, the K-Tek KPCK10V is a coiled cable kit specifically designed for use with the K-Tek Mighty KP10V boompole. It requires a KPCCR bottom module to work (available separately). The KPCK10V cable features a specialized, right-angle low-profile XLR female connector at the top that allows for a secure and low-profile connection. This coiled cable is equipped with robust shielding to minimize RF interference and ensure clean audio capture.
The Mighty KP10V boompole features a removable headpiece, therefore no soldering is required. Simply drop the cable through the top section once the headpiece is removed, plug the TA3 into your bottom right-angle exit module (KPCCR), and attach to the bottom of your KP10V boompole.
- Compared to the previous generation, the cable incorporates a thicker gauge of wire and aluminum shielding to make it both stronger and ultraprotected from radio frequency (RF) interference.
- The right-angle connector at the top of the cable is smaller, lighter, serviceable, and made with the popular Neutrik connector as its base.
- The connector's orientation can be changed by simply unthreading its housing, rotating it to the desired position, and locking it back in place.
- A new solid strain relief makes the Right Angle connector remarkably robust while securely holding the wiring in place.
- The TA3 at the base of the cable is surrounded by a machined Delrin shell, which secures the cable to the connector.
