Meopta Optika Overview
Outfitted with a moderate magnification and massive objectives, the Meopta 8x50 MeoPro Optika Laser Rangefinder Binoculars is designed to give you the performance you need when you're out before first light and stay out until deep into dusk. The rangefinder boasts a maximum metering range of almost 2 miles and is complemented with an integrated inclinometer that calculates the upward or downward angle to your target. This rangefinder is packed into a premium binocular defined by a wide field of view, ED glass, phase-corrected and dielectric-coated roof prisms, and anti-reflection MeoLux fully coated optics, and is protected by a lightweight and strong magnesium alloy chassis.
Optical Performance
- 8x50 configuration yields and exceptional exit pupil with excellent light-gathering capability, making it ideal for use from the first hint of light in the pre-dawn hours and deep into dusk
- Moderate 8x magnification produces a generous field of view without the dimming of the view that often affects high-power optics
- Large 50mm objective lenses gather large amounts of light for enhanced performance at times such as dawn and dusk or when peering into dense brush
- Compact roof prism light path ensures the optical tubes remain slim for easier handling without affecting performance
- Extra-low dispersion (ED) fluoride glass lens elements reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations for increased contrast and improved color rendition and sharpness without distortion across the entire field of view
- BAK4 prism glass delivers a round exit pupil and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortion
- Phase-correcting prism coatings eliminate internal interference to improve color and contrast
- Dielectric prism coatings boost surface reflectivity to greater than 99% for maximum light transmission through the prism with minimal loss and diffraction
- Anti-reflection MeoLux fully multicoated optics boost light transmission to improve resolution, contrast, and color fidelity
- Hydrophobic MeoDrop exterior lens coatings allow water to bead and roll off the lens and make cleaning oils and sap easy without leaving residue�ensuring the lenses are clean and clear for better views
