MID49 M49-KTB-RED-VR Overview
This MID49 Base Kit for RED V-RAPTOR provides you with a variety of accessories for the RED V-RAPTOR (not included) that improve usability on the set. The baseplate features a quick release 15mm LW baseplate with Arca-Swiss camera dovetail interface on top and ARRI standard dovetail interface on the bottom. The rod bracket attaches to the Top Handle or Top Plate to provide 15mm LW rod support, while the Arca top mount is a top mount for RED V-RAPTOR that can attach to the front 1/4-20 screw holes and accepts the included Arca Top Handle. The included Arca top handle is a sliding camera handle that has 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16 threaded holes with ARRI locating pins, and M4 x 20mm threaded holes plus two cold shoe mounts.
This Arca Top Handle from MID49 is a lightweight sliding camera handle that mounts on MID49 Arca Top Mounts for RED KOMODO, KOMODO-X, and V-RAPTOR, as well as the Sony BURANO Top Plates, and Upper Cages. Featuring numerous 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting holes that are surrounded by ARRI-compatible anti-twist divots so that accessory arms and accessories don't slip or twist. Multiple M4x20mm threaded holes allow for attaching option rod brackets and other M4 accessories. It has a cold shoe mount on both the front and rear for on-camera lights, microphones, and other shoe accessories.
This MID49 15mm LWS Rod Bracket features 60mm rod spacing and can attach to the back of Baseline 15mm LW baseplates, allowing you to add rear support. Spring-loaded locking levers clamp optional rods and can be tightened or loosened without fully rotating if accessories interfere with the rods. M4 screws 20mm apart can be used instead to attach to products like an optional ARCA Top Handle and ARCA Top Plate or other devices with standard ARRI standard M4 spacing. M4 x 20mm threaded holes are available on top for adding additional accessories.
This MID49 Baseline 15mm LW Baseplate includes an Arca-type dovetail baseplate featuring integrated 15mm LWS rod clamps, an ARRI-compatible dovetail mounting plate, and an Arca-type dovetail. This assemblage is designed to work with the RED V-RAPTOR camera to provide the correct lens center-to-rod height for cine-style accessories. It also features a top-loading Arca-type dovetail slot that enables mounting either from the top or back. Likewise, the bottom of the platform can mount on the included standard ARRI dovetail rails via a top-loading mechanism or by sliding it on or off from the back.
