NovaStar A8S Overview
Drive your LED panels with powerful fine-pitch pixel clarity with the Armor Series A8S Receiving Card from NovaStar. The A8S receiving card installs into an LED panel such as a P2.5 and utilizes an RGB parallel 32 data group with 512 x 256 resolution. The compact size makes it easy to install and provides a MOM interface with precise pixel-level color and brightness calibration to your display to enhance your signage presentations.
The card also supports cabinet mapping so that it will display a number when controlled by a hub, making it easier to troubleshoot. The A8S also supports auto calibration making replacements easy, receiving card backup, free rotation, low latency, 18-bit+ support, and multiple environment detection features.
- Color management switches the color gamut of the screen between multiple gamuts to enable more precise colors on the screen.
- Precise grayscale individually corrects the 65,536 levels of grayscale (16-bit) of the driver IC to fix the display problems at low grayscale conditions, such as brightness spikes, brightness dips, color cast and mottling. This function can also better assist other display technologies, such as 22-bit+ and individual gamma adjustment for RGB, allowing for a smoother and uniform image.
- 22-bit+ support improves the LED display grayscale by 64 times to avoid grayscale loss due to low brightness and allow for more details in dark areas and a smoother image.
