The eXtreme Camera Support from Platypod is a completely redesigned camera support platform, adding design features driven by customer feedback on previous models. The new hinged spiked feet provide instant deployment and even more stability than previous models. They can be independently rotated into four positions, and even reversed to use the non-marring rubber foot option. The four spiked feet are interchangeable with both Max and Ultra spiked feet.

This rugged camera support platform is made of aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, with additional titanium and stainless steel components. It has an extensive range of applications, including low angle, macro, uneven terrain, pole, and tree mounting, and more. It offers the versatility of a tripod with a fraction of the size and weight.

Seven 1/4"-20 Mounts

The Platypod eXtreme has seven 1/4"-20 threaded mounting sockets, allowing a variety of camera mounting options, as well as to add accessories like microphones or even lights to complete a setup. Three are also two countersunk, unthreaded holes for using #8 or 10 wood screws for more permanent mounting.

4 Hinged Spiked Feet

The spiked feet are pre-mounted in metal hinges that allow them to rotate into multiple positions. The stainless steel feet are spiked on one end but feature non-marring rubber feet on the other end. They are interchangeable with Max and Ultra series spikes.

Open Belt Loop Slots

The open belt loop slots make it easy to strap the Platypod eXtreme into position quickly without wasting time by threading straps through holes.

Cutout Handle and Carabiner Carrying Options

A large cutout at the top of the plate adds easy carrying capability while reducing product weight. Multiple carabiner position options make it easy to carry hands-free.
