Sabrent EC-RGBG Overview
The Rocket RGB USB-C M.2 SATA/NVMe SSD Enclosure from Sabrent has one drive slot that supports NVMe or SATA SSDs with an M.2 2230, 2242, 2260, or 2280 form factor. Designed for Windows, Mac, and Linux, but compatible with most systems that have a USB-C port, this enclosure connects to your host system using a 20 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 port. If your system doesn't support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, this enclosure is backward compatible with 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.2 Gen 1/3.1) and 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.1 Gen 1/3.0).
Thanks to plug-and-play compatibility, no additional drivers are required, while the enclosure operates using bus power and doesn't require any external power. Also featured are RGB LED lighting effects that alert users as to the drive's status, plus an aluminum body with thermal padding, which helps to optimize heat dissipation and keep things cool during intense workloads.
Note: To achieve maximum advertised speeds, please make sure your computer or host device is certified to support the 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connection. Apple devices, including those with Thunderbolt/USB4, do not support 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 and will be limited to 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2.
