Sontronics DM-1T Overview
Get better sounding tom toms on stage and in the studio with the DM-1T from Sontronics. Specifically designed to faithfully capture a tom's percussive timbre, this small-diaphragm condenser microphone delivers detailed, nuanced recordings that sit well in the mix without needing a lot of post-processing. The pad switch reduces the sensitivity by -10 dB, allowing the DM-1T to handle SPLs up to 135 dB, enough to withstand even the heaviest hitters.
Part of Sontronics series of drum-specific mics, the DM-1T is almost identical to the DM-1S snare mic (available separately) in size and weight, making them well suited for use together on drum kits and easy to position for optimal results. The difference between the two is in their frequency-response curves, which on the DM-1T offers a more pronounced bottom-end roll off and a bit less presence boost in the 5 to 10 kHz range.
