SoundTools WC521-B Overview
Send audio over shielded Cat 5 cable with the black SoundTools WallCAT WC521-B Two-Gang Wall Plate. It has four female XLR terminals and a female EtherCON connector on the front, with two RJ45 terminals on the back for passing audio, DMX, AES3, or intercom signals over Ethernet to support long cable runs. The double-gang wall plate is designed to fit standard electrical junction boxes.
Analog Audio over Cat 5
Send analog audio from one room to another using shielded Cat 5e or higher cable and the WallCAT WC521-B. This durable aluminum wall unit fits standard 4" US electrical two-gang junction boxes to easily send or receive four channels of XLR, AES3, DMX, or intercom throughout a venue or home. For connecting to your network, there is a front-access EtherCON in/out and two standard RJ45 parallel-wired connectors on the back.
No Soldering Required
Not all wall plates are created equally. Unlike other brands, the WallCAT requires no soldering to install. Every connection you need, including EtherCON and four Neutrik XLR connectors in front, along with two Amphenol RJ45 connections in the back, comes preinstalled and clearly labeled. Mounting hardware is included.
