Thor STB-QAM Overview
If you need to decode over-the-air ATSC or cable QAM signals to integrate them into your existing HDMI, component, or composite workflow, the Thor QAM CATV RF and ATSC RF to HDMI Decoder Set-Top Box is suitable for use in a home entertainment center or video facility. This set-top box has a high-frequency tuner, which allows it to accept a variety of input signals, and you can connect the decoded output to your monitor or internal video system.
The set-top box supports auto and manual searches, supporting 4000 TV/Radio channels in 16:9, 4:3 full screen, and letterbox. The HDMI output supports 1080p, while the component output supports 1080i, the composite (CVSB) output supports up to 480i, and the RF connector supports NTSC/PAL signals. It has a built-in PVR, which allows you to record to�and playback from�external devices using USB 2.0.
