Thypoch introduces a vintage full-frame prime with the Simera 35mm f/1.4. Designed for M-mount cameras, this fast manual-focus lens provides a nostalgic touch to its imagery at a classic focal length. An aperture de-click switch, featured on the barrel alongside the aperture control ring, allows users to seamlessly switch between smooth and clicked operation, making this prime well suited for videography and photography alike.
Low Chromatic Aberration
The Simera 35mm f/1.4 features an aspherical element and three high-refractive index elements to reduce color aberration and improve image quality.
Smooth Bokeh & Strong Low Light Performance
With the ability to capture at a bright f/1.4 aperture, high-quality imagery is assured even in unfavorable lighting conditions. The lens's 14-bladed diaphragm creates circular bokeh that provides a soft and pleasing frame to your subject, which is particularly useful for portraits. When capturing up-close subjects, a minimum focus of 1.5' is available.
Resistance Reminder
When turned to 0.7m, you'll feel a dampening to alert you that the lens focusing distance is about to exceed the limit of the camera body.
Retro Square Lens Hood
The Simera 35mm f/1.4 is equipped with a retro-inspired, square lens hood that's anodized to prevent scratching. The threaded interior of the lens hood helps ensure sharper images by blocking out unwanted light.
