The SmallRig Lightweight Fluid Video Head is a compact head designed for camera rigs weighing up to 11 lb, making it suitable for still photographers and video makers who want to shoot in remote locations or remain as inconspicuous as possible when shooting. It features an indexed pan axis useful for creating panoramic stills or repeatable video camera pans. The head is Arca-swiss QR system compatible and comes with a quick release plate, allowing it to be used directly with optional Arca-Swiss cages and L-brackets.
You can adjust the camera balance back and forth by sliding the quick release plate in the camera platform and by turning the side knob to adjust the camera platform, which is useful when using large lenses or mounting the camera horizontally. The head comes with a removable telescopic handle that supports a 360° swivel, plus one 1/4"-20 threaded hole to fit a magic arm for such devices as a monitor, a microphone, an image transmitter, or a camera. A built-in Allen wrench is included for removing or installing the quick release plate.

Great platform for mirrorless camera in YouTube studio.
Typical SmallRig construction and spec. Mounting my Sony A7S3 on top. IMHO this is the best bank for the buck out there in a compact video head.
Nice little head!
I bought this head to stick on my tripod for my small mirrorless that has an Arca Swiss plate on the bottom. Most other heads have the clamp facing the wrong way. This head solves the problem by being able to rotate the clamp. Just what I was looking for! I also like the extendable handle. Although I would like a little more control of the tilt friction, with practice I was able to use my small mirrorless with a 5 inch monitor on it. Just don't overload it and you will be fine. A great grab and go with my small carbon fiber tripod.

A Very Nice Small Fluid Head.
It's a smaller fluid head, so it works better with smaller mirrorless camera rig setups. It's smooth with nice resistance for a professional look.

decent quality in a small package, controls a little awkward
I tested several heads for use with a larger size Kowa 883 spotting scope for birding. This was the runner up after the Sirui VA-5. The pluses on this one were decent quality, small size, and the large scope balanced on it well. It also gave good resistance while panning and tilting. The reason I didn't get it were that there are a lot of knobs, all about the same size, all in a small area. And there are 2 rotating parts, both the top and bottom rotate, which I didn't understand, so that required another locking lever. Also the handle seemed a little flimsy and I kept wanting to use the handle lock lever for something else.
