ASUS PA32UCG-K Reviews
Great monitor with some caveats.
Good overall, but some listed features are missing. The listed Dolby Vision feature is still missing at this point. It works well with my RTX 3080 Ti, but some features only work with AMD video cards. You will need to change some settings via the monitor to get it to work at its peak capability. For example, for some reason, the monitor does not default to using DP 1.4 with DSC and you need to manually enable it. My panel uniformity is great with very little backlight bleed. The HDR function works as listed and can be blindingly bright at 1600 nits at peak brightness. Also, HDR works great when gaming with fast transitions, even when playing fast-paced first-person shooters. 4K 120 Hz works via DP or HDMI with an NVIDIA or AMD GPU. It can also work well with the Xbox Series X or PS5 via HDMI 2.1. It is very feature rich, but it should be at this price. I'm not quite the demographic for this monitor, but I purchased it because it seemed to be the best 32-inch 4k monitor available. I think the monitor is anywhere from 3.5 stars to 4 stars at its current capability, but if the promised features ever do arrive, I will update the review score at that time.

Great features as advertised. Issues exists.
Overall, 120 Hz 10bit HDR with 1000 nit and 1600 peak nit confirmed. make sure you run with the HDMI 2.1 port for this. Color and viewing are great. The best you could get with this price range. Feels a little bit better than the Apple XDR pro Display. There are some issues ASUS had or must resolve in the future: 1st. very important You need to do firmware update. Without the firmware update there will be bug that cause flickering mini-LED (in fake HDR mode, certain brightness) that almost made me return the product. Firmware update resolved the issue. 2nd. The firmware had issue of incorrect brightness for tiny white objects in zero black background. The characters in a terminal window will tell everything to you. Their brightness looks like zebra. ASUS are fighting against blooming issue I can tell, but there are no good solutions there. ASUS Please give choices to us!!!! (A) Incorrect deep black with blooming but correct object brightness. (B) Incorrect small white brightness, but correct deep black brightness. (C) Choices of compromised middle ground are needed as well. 3rd. Unstable input detection. It is either unstable or sometimes very slow to respond to screen property change. It is extreme and almost unusable when you turned on the free-sync feature, you have to turn on the screen exactly the moment the GPU are sending the signal out. Maybe RTX3090 don't like the free-sync feature, just put this in mind. Last, the color mode setting of this monitor for HDR signal is always lost, I have to reset it ever time the screen refresh. Please fix these features ASUS. ASUS you have poor feature testing and firmware. For this 5 grand pro device, I am feeling upset. Maybe this is a small market for you., but reputation matters. Please improve.
Unusable for HDR content due to overheating
After about an hour of operation in any HDR mode, this monitor develops a significant flicker in the upper-left quadrant and the internal fans spin up to maximum speed. It recovers almost immediately upon switching back to any SDR mode, but continued HDR operation reproduces the issue very quickly. It's pretty clear that the monitor is overheating, which is pretty frustrating given that HDR compatibility is one of the biggest distinguishing features of this particular model. I'll be RMA'ing it wiith ASUS to see if this is just an issue with my particular copy, but either way this is very disappointing for a product that costs this much.
