The MS-65HD Professional Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom Arm from Auray features sturdy, 1" steel tubes and a wide tripod base offering stability for live stage, theater, rehearsal, and recording studio applications. Mic height placement is simple and easy to adjust with a twist lock.

Fantastic build!
Very well-built! Very limited plastic parts but otherwise solid metal structure coursing through its veins. I can't see it having any durability issues. Highly recommended!

Solid Product!
This mic stand is well-built, solid, heavy, and great all around. One of the reasons why I chose this product over others was because the telescoping arm extends to 46, which is longer than anything else I looked at. I recommend this product overall. I use this mic stand at home to either hold a Rode boom mic or to attach a smartphone for overhead filming. The long reach of the boom arm offers me a lot of flexibility with the latter. If you are thinking of using this stand for overhead filming with something heavier than a smartphone, note that I don't think the boom arm would hold up a heavy DSRL very well, but a small, light mirror-less camera would likely be OK (though you would likely see bowing of the arm if you have the boom arm fully extended).
NICE, HEAVY and PRETTY
I was like...Ok... It's a Mic Stand...looking at the pictures, you'd think its just a mic stand like the old bunch... when Fedex dropped it off, I saw him holding the package with two hands. This thing weighs almost as much as a Manfrotto DSLR Tripod. And you DO WANT heavy, because it gives you stability and durability to even hold a RODE BLIMP system on it if you feel so inclined... The provided Mic holder is a clamp type, secures the mic well. If you want to install a shock mount that came with your Condenser Mic, simply swap it. The threads are the same normal universal standards you see on every stand. Any mic can be used, and at any height, angle. Everything in this stand is made of METAL, INCLUDING the knob that raises the stand, except the Boom part tightening knob, which they are made of a very strong ABS plastic. There's NO WAY you'll be breaking those, especially the MAIN plastic locking knob from the Boom part. This stand also comes provided with 2 cable clips, one at the Boom arm at the thinnest part, the other at the lower tube base pole for cable neatness. Those plastic cable clips though, you have to be gentle with when snapping them off.If they ever broke, you can get a set of 6 at BH for only 8 bucks. Size pole is between 7/8 - 1. My assistants always break a bunch of them and I never worry since they cost almost nothing. The stand is pretty! It has a nice and elegant matte finish and when raising / adjusting the poles multiple times, it doesn't scratch the pole paint finish (as long as you keep it clean, free of dust, debris or sand). The rubber feet is very nice and won't let it slide. What else could we want for a Mic Stand besides durability, pretty, and stable? This product has all check marks. A Knock Out for the Price
Snagged this puppy on a daily deal. Substantial construction with it being all metal and such. Only complaint is the arm knob. - - - - Doesn't get as snug as needed even with a solitary Sennheiser shotgun mic clamped at the end. The arm ends up dropping unless you put a tightening death grip on the knob. Maybe adding a lock washer to the flat washer beneath the knob would do the trick but all in all it a grand stand for the price.
