A single-axis lens control system with room for expansion, the Single-Axis Wireless Follow Focus Express Basic Extreme Kit from Cinegears allows you to set up a wireless lens control system on your camera system, equipped with either a cine-style geared lens or lens that does not feature a focus gear. The kit comes with a 19mm rod clamp bracket and 19mm to 15mm adapter bushing, so you can mount the motor on either 15mm or 19mm support rods. The lens controller does not have physical hard stops; however, it does allow you to program focus stops, which you can use to define the end points of your lens.
Included with the kit is a customizable rubber gear that you can mount on a lens that lacks the necessary cine-style focus gear. The high-torque motor is suitable for use with large zoom lenses that require a powerful motor. It comes with a cine-style drive gear that can be swapped out when using ENG-style lenses with either Canon or Fuji-style gearing (replacement gears not included). The handwheel features a removable marking disc, and there are two marking discs in the kit. This basic kit fits into a waterproof case with foam inserts to protect your equipment during transport and while in storage.
The CINEGEARS Single Axis Wireless Express Controller is a wireless follow focus controller that easily pairs with a CINEGEARS wireless motor. You can use the controller for focus, zoom, or iris. The controller operates on a frequency of 433 MHz, providing a range of up to 320' line of sight. The wireless controller and optional motor combination provide simple auto lens calibration and manual lens remapping for easy lens changes.
The Express Controller features a removable marking disc, a side mounted index marker, and allows you to program up to four stop / positions. You can adjust the transition speed for programmed presets, and with optional cables connected to your motor, you can control start/ stop for ARRI, RED, Sony, and Canon professional camcorders. LED indicator lights show you the status of the controller.
The CINEGEARS Single-Axis Extreme Motor provides precise repeatable control of your focus, zoom, or iris ring, and it provides twice the torque as the Single-Axis motor and is suitable for use with prime lenses and even stiff zooms. It is compatible with an optional CINEGEARS controller, Single, Multi, Rocker, or Espresso, and ships with an interchangeable cine-style 0.8 MOD drive gear. It requires an optional power cable and rod clamp, which are available separately. You may use this motor to drive the focus, zoom, or iris gear ring on your lens. Once mounted, the lens motor will calibrate itself to your lens in a simple process. You can also manually remap your lens with the optional hand controller, and program multiple stops along the lens, simulating either hard stops, or focus positions. The motor direction is electronically reversible if you need to change the orientation of your motor, or are working with a lens that focuses in the opposite direction to standard cine lenses. The motor incorporates a LEMO jack for power and a LANC jack for camera start / stop.
Providing a way to add a standard cine-style focus gear to your lens, the CINEGEARS Customizable Geared Focus Ring is a strong yet flexible rubber gear strip that you customize to fit the circumference of your lens. The gear is delivered as a rubber strip slightly longer than 12" long, which would correspond to a focus ring barrel just under 4" in diameter.
The strip comes pre-scored for accurate trimming and with pre-formed holes for the metal clip that turns the rubber strip into lens gear. The gear features 0.8 MOD teeth that interface with 32 pitch cine-style focus drive gears.
The CINEGEARS Single Axis Wireless Motor Power Cable provides power to your motor from an optional power source outfitted with a D-tap connector. The cable features a D-tap connector on one end and a 2-pin LEMO connector on the other. The cable features plastic insulation, and it can handle from 12 to 28 VDC.
The Cinegears 4-Pin Start/Stop Cable can be used in conjunction with the Cinegears Start/Stop Trigger or Cinegears Single Axis Wireless Follow Focus System to trigger your Sony F5/F55 cameras remotely.
The CINEGEARS Hard Case with Foam Inserts for Single-Axis Kit is a waterproof case that provides protection to your equipment from damage from falls and impact. The custom cut foam interior allows you to keep the components of your single axis wireless kit snug and secure during transport and storage.
The Thick Focus Ring from CINEGEARS is for use with Express Controller. It is made of whiteboard material and held in place with three strong magnets.
The CINEGEARS 2" Rod Bracket for Lens Control Motors mounts on a 19mm support rod and allows you to mount your CINEGEARS lens control motor on your rods and drive your lens's geared focus, zoom, or iris. It features a spring-loaded locking lever that allows you to tighten the bracket on the clamp, while at the same time securing the motor to the clamp.
