The Canon LP-E6 Fully Decoded Dummy Battery + 5V/2A Dual USB Cable from DigitalFoto allows the use of a USB power source to power devices that use a Canon LP-E6 battery, providing continuous camera operation in applications where stopping to change batteries is not suitable. It includes a dummy battery with a 2.1mm female connector and a 2.1mm male to dual USB Type-A Y-cable to provide redundant USB power to your device.
This dummy battery fits into the camera's existing Canon LP-E6 battery socket and features a built-in emulator chip that delivers power status data to the camera. Proper operation of this adapter requires a USB power source with a minimum 5V, 2.4A output, and it provides an output to your device of 7.4 VDC. When connected, the dummy battery cable and dual-USB extension measure 7' in length.
