The Elvid FieldVision 10.1" LCD On-Camera Monitor puts a large, bright, and lightweight 4K monitor right on top of your camera while only adding one pound to your camera setup. The FieldVision 10.1" monitor delivers a vibrant picture that's much easier to see, unlike the small integrated screens of DSLR and pro video cameras. The monitor features professional focusing and monitoring tools that help you capture your images at their best. The monitor accepts signals up to UHD 4K (3840 × 2160) and DCI 4K (4096 × 2160), as well as a VGA input to accept computer resolutions up to 1920 x 1080. The monitor scales the images for display on its native 1920 x 1200 screen for a picture that's surprisingly sharp for a monitor this size.
Advanced tools like Check Field help calibrate the monitor, and a dedicated DSLR menu mode scales and positions the incoming video signal when shooting with a DSLR. And turn on pixel-to-pixel mode when you need to inspect the fine details of your image. The intuitive on-screen menus make it easy to adjust your image and offer adjustments to fine-tune display settings, as well as broadcast-specific features like safety frame markers and multiple display formats. Two programmable function buttons provide quick shortcuts to the tools you want at your fingertips, so you can change settings on the fly without interrupting your workflow.

Elvid OCM-101-4KH Reviews
Outstanding Performance
This monitor does very thing I need with it's full 10" size.
Fantastic monitor at a great price.
I am loving this monitor. First of all, I feel 10 inches is the perfect size for my needs. It's small enough to mount on a camera and not feel overloaded, yet big enough to use as a director's monitor on a stand. This gives you the best bang for the buck in my opinion because it serves both needs while still being very convenient and easy to travel with and quick to set-up. This monitor is very versatile. As far as picture quality, I think it looks fantastic. Bright enough and with a surprisingly sharp image. And I truly appreciate all of the monitoring tools. Having focus peaking is a must in my opinion, and this functions really well on this monitor. And including false color, histogram and zebras capabilities is fantastic and super helpful. I did not expect all of this functionality at this price point for a 10 monitor. It comes with a power supply to plug-in for AC and battery adapter to run off a common NP-F battery for running and gunning. I love that it uses NP-F's because I already own a bunch and they are cheap, run a long time and are small. This monitor comes with a bunch of accessories which I appreciate. The cold shoe mount is well built and locks down very securely for mounting on top of the camera. It comes with a mini hdmi to regular hdmi cable which is nice. And I love that it comes with a sun hood. I also love that it secures very easily to the monitor with velcro. That makes it very quick to attach and remove. Again, making this monitor very versatile and easy to use in the field, which I like. Another feature that I appreciate is that it has an HDMI Input and Loop Output. This way I can use it as a camera mounted monitor, while still being able to loop out and send a video signal to another monitor, like a larger director's monitor if I choose to do so. I love having that option. Another thing I like is that it has 1/4-20 sockets on all four sides to attach accessories if need be. For example, attaching a wireless video transmitter to send that looped signal wirelessly to another monitor. Last but not least, I appreciate having some programmable function keys. I like to set peaking to one of the function keys so I can quickly turn it on to check focus or turn off if the red lines get in the way. This is very helpful. Overall I am very impressed and happy with this monitor and feel it is perfect for my needs especially at this affordable price point. 2 thumbs up in my opinion. Good for price
Pros: The size is perfect. Great price point and easy to setup. Cons: Cheap plastic material and color is not great. DO NOT use this monitor on a stand without using the adaptor that it comes with. The plastic around the threads will snap off after a few uses.
It's also a great mini Teleprompter!
I have two of the big studio Elvid Studio Vision 4K monitors, the 15 and 28 and they are awesome! I use them on every set and also reviewed on youtube. If you want to check those out I also recommend! This ELVID FieldVision 10 monitor , I did set it up on camera and it's a nice size over the usual 7 monitors I use, and if you want to power it with the included power supply (a very rare bonus) without a battery it will be virtually weightless. It's so light, yet, big. And a plastic body is GOOD. Metal would make the camera front heavy plus the battery weight. So, plastic in this case is desired. And it if falls, it's not going to dent. Another cool use for it: Many times, I have some trouble fitting a conventional sized teleprompter whenever I shoot corporate interviews where the rooms are not the ideal kind as far as room size. So, to make the talent speak while reading a teleprompter and not to look like they are obviously reading a script, the secret to that is: It is required that you place the teleprompter screen at a reasonable distance, so the talent's eye balls won't be moving left and right. You don't want that... So, I found out that this monitor will be extremely helpful with this. All you need is an iPhone connected via HDMI IN with a premium teleprompter App of your choice and there you go! Place the Elvid FieldVision as low as possible to the camera's shoe so it can also be as close as possible to the LENS. It works. I recommend that you use a low gravity swivel shoe mount. (BH also sells these). You can use any other ways to mount this monitor as long as the mounting device is a 1/4-20 thread. This monitor also features some exposure tools that I demand such as Zebras, especially zebras... I'm not a big fan of false colors but of course this monitor has it. It also has focus peaking (a MUST), and histogram. As you probably already read the specifications, It also features HDMI IN and OUT. I absolutely need HDMI out to record sync with my HDMI capable digital recorders. You feed the monitor via HDMI IN, then HDMI OUT to the recorder's HDMI controller jack. Press REC on camera, the monitor's HDMI OUT sends the REC signal to the recorder. You can use the FieldVision monitor straight out of the box. And if you need to reset things, you can factory reset. Also, if you want to tweak the colors to your particular liking, this monitor has two ways to do so: RGB gain AND RGB OFF -SET! And you can use and mix both options at the same time to fine tune it. This monitor is NOT a touchscreen, and even though I'm used to touch screen, but somehow the menu is actually intuitive and easy to navigate and also easy to change settings. The dial value knob was placed very intelligently on the corner of the body, which will allows you to turn it very fast if needed from any angle you are and even without looking at it. The velcroed sun hood and the cable are also a nice touch for being included accessories and very easy to install and remove. If I were to change anything in this monitor it would be the shoe mounting hardware that comes with it and also the same usual thing that is found on MANY other monitors, which include them as well. I'm definitely not a big fan of these types of shoe mounts as they are very cumbersome and once you loosen the locking knob, the whole thing collapses during adjustments until you tighten it back. I would prefer (and have) a L shaped bracket type which attaches to the side of my other on camera monitors and you can freely pan and tilt, and with built in resistance. Therefore, you can adjust the monitor's angle by simply grabbing by the monitor itself and let go when you're done. Another simpler and still effective mount would be the same type which you can do the same as I described above but this one is very small swivel type mount which is also low gravity and installs at the bottom of the FieldVision the same way the included ball mount that comes with this monitor does, but there is no ball mount, has built in resistance and no need to tighten anything. For what I will be using this monitor for, I experimented it as a teleprompter (on and off camera), it worked, and I'm very pleased with it and I love that 10 size, yet very lightweight!
